Early Stages students were immediately psyched when they heard they were going to see Bring It On: The Musical. Many knew it as a movie, a TV show, a book series and couldn’t wait to see what new twist the musical would add to the story.
“This is the first Broadway show I’ve seen-and I can relate to it! I have a newfound appreciation for the theater” Sheanda, from Brooklyn Job Corps, exclaimed.
The audience loved being invited to “cheer…but, please, no leaps!” and immediately got into the spirit of the production. Early Stages Students was thrilled to serve as cheerleaders for the cheerleaders!
Our chaperones and educators also loved the production. “I personally didn’t know what I was getting myself into and left loving the show, It is an excellent production and I never thought about anything but the show.”
The students loved how the show was filled with a message of success:
“Not to sweat the small stuff because even though it may seem extremely important it will be a ‘blip’ later in.”-Kendrea
“Never give up on your dream.” –Jennifer
“Most important is friendship and being a true friend.”-Arcadia
“Things might not always work out the way you expect. But it’s going to be okay. Maybe even better than you thought it was going to be!” –Cinthia
Three cheers for Bring it On: The Musical! What an uplifting and beautiful story that Early Stages students will remember forever!
