This past Saturday, students from Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts had a fantastic time experiencing classical music as played by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.

Many of the students in attendance aspire to be professional musicians one day, so they loved getting a chance to hear the orchestra interpret classic pieces that they hope to play themselves one day.
Another group of students affiliated with the Mid-Bronx Head Start program made their first trip to Carnegie Hall for this performance as well. During intermission, Kevin, a fourteen-year-old boy who plays in his school’s jazz band, announced, “one day I’m going to be up there on that stage!” His excitement over his first trip to Carnegie Hall was extremely moving!
